Philadelphia Science Forum (PSF) started with 10 students and scholars in 2006 and since then has expanded into a vigorous group and academic community with more than 100 members, including junior faculties, postdoctoral fellows and students from different universities and institutes in and beyond Philadelphia.
The major activities of our forum are: 1) Scientific seminar; 2) Grand address; 3) Career development and life-essence exploration; 4) Symposium; and 5) Happy hour and group sightseeing. The ultimate goal of this group is to develop new technology and innovative ideas, to bridge the gap between research and market, and to train the next generation of scientists and physicians. We hold seminars regularly, discussing about scientific ideas, research progress, modern techniques, entrepreneurship and career development.
Seneca, an early Roman philosopher once said, “Luck is what happens when preparation meets opportunity.” It echoes in Louis Pasteur’s golden words “Chance favors the prepared mind.” Through studying and training in Philadelphia Science Forum, we are preparing ourselves ready for challenges and opportunities.
“Now this is not the end. It is not even the beginning of the end. But it is, perhaps, the end of the beginning.” (Winston Churchill) Please join us!
